Starting before it Begins

With 12 weeks of pre-work under our belt including various learning modules around Moroccan culture & history coupled with some fundamentals of consulting, each of us had a feeling of what it would be like to work together as a team!

Fast forward to this weekend with; a 25 hour commute; a 10 hour time difference;  a completely new environment; being surrounded by two foreign languages (French & Arabic) and; working with a team of people whom had never met in person! 

​

What I learned is that those 12 weeks of prep, casual conversations and pre-work activities actually created some interesting bonds which were present the moment we said "hello" to one another. 

​

The fact that we could have a global team of people, literally hit the ground running (because we have some marathon runners in the group getting some of us less so fit people to run in the mornings), all with a desire to help our client or host organisation, has been a very humbling experience. 

​

With these diverse skills & a desire to create an impact, we have all come together to ensure that as one IBM we can make a difference.

With all of the hard work ahead of us, we did take some time out this weekend to bathe in the culture, climate and community. To embrace everything that Morocco had to offer! (see pics below)
