When you are working away from home, I find it very easy to forget about birthdays, anniversaries, events. After all, its like starting a new life away, with a new group of people, each with their own things on their mind. "Thank you for coming here and giving us your time and sharing your experience"
Me:
"Your time is no different to mine, so thank you for giving me your time too"

He walked away crying because he realised that there are people who have never met him, who believe in him to make a difference and most importantly (i hope) that his time is no different to the fancy consultant who visited him.

I make a lot of mistakes, with cultural differences, people and work but, one thing I have not forgotten yet ... time is valuable for everyone. Regardless of language and age, the two of us were able to understand each other perfectly.
